The low-down in Sac Town
My husband is leaving me for SIX DAYS! Of course, he will be joining all the hipsters at the Origins Conference, and in fact, I am really excited for him. He’s been to conferences before like the worship conference at Saddleback, but he’s always gone alone. This time he’s going with Eric. He’s going to have a blast. He can’t wait to meet the mystic warriors. For those of you who are going, Heath is cross between “Where’s Waldo” (super tall with glasses) and Ben Affleck - well, at least I think so.
Our Vox shows are falling into place. It looks as though the Eastern Star Masonic Temple will be playing host to our summer concerts. Our first one will be on June 25th! As to who will be playing them? No clue yet.
Heath’s new band had a show on Thursday night. I’m not sure about the name, War Elephant. I always think of the White Stripes album, Elephant. At any rate, the show was great. Without sounding like a groupie, Heath’s writing has greatly improved. Not that it was bad before, but his songs are definitly more anthemic (is that a word?). There was a great turn out! I’m pretty sure they’ll get some more shows. We are currently working on a song together called Cyberspace. This is our first collaboration.
Graeme turned 7 last week and had his birthday party on Saturday. He got the ususal boy toys…Star Wars, bike, basketball and so on and so on. Luke (Eric’s son) slept over on Saturday night and got sick in the middle of the night, so he and I cuddled on the sofa together. It was sweet.
That’s all for now. I’m sure I’ll have more updates when Heath and Eric return from Origins.

i don’t know about anthemic, i think you mean anemic…..all the credit has to go to this great pop band from Sacramento - The Venable Four - they were a real inspiration to me
